Identity redesign for established comic book store.
Simplistic yet powerful identity for anestablished comic book store. The colour palette references rudimentary drawingtradition whist the logo has hints of traditional seals and conventional herostances.
Each character lends a different dynamicquality to each piece of stationary, creating a pleasing juxtaposition. Furthermoreeach business card features a staff member drawn in anime style as a method of additionalpersonalisation but more importantly again referencing comic book tradition: thatof collection.

CARTESIAN STOOL
The Cartesian stool is a beautiful, detailed and complex design; simplicity layered with tiers of interaction and hidden complexity. It explores the underlying order in disorder through its function; soft yet stiff, rigid yet elastic, and through its aesthetic, planar yet freeform.
The Cartesian Stool is a highly functional minimalist furniture piece made from solid plantation timbers, monofilament and rubber spacers. The name ‘Cartesian’ is derived from the Cartesian Coordinate System, which is used to specify the position of any point in three-dimensional space.
The design emphasises functionality through facilitating both area deflection and point displacement and rotation, ensuring a reactive, comfortable sitting experience. The design seeks to be vastly accommodating and complaint, yet exceedingly unassuming and non-prescribed.
Its minimalist aesthetic is informed by environmental and social factors, developed to occupy domestic spaces discreetly. It is a versatile solution for contemporary inner-city lifestyles and adaptable to any interior scenario and environment.
The strong, linear forms utilised convey a sense of precision, accuracy and strength, whilst its function and materials solidly integrate both innovative design and the integrity of woodcraft.
The Cartesian Stool is intended to be fabricated in short production batch runs utilising traditional timber processes and machinery. This will allow it to be aesthetically customisable and made ethically using Australian materials and manufacturing; ensuring minimal environmental impact.Furniture Design2012 -

The Mieto timepiece embodies a truly minimalist solution for simplistic timekeeping. This elegant, sympathetic, and jewellery like outcome is achieved through resolving typical watch detail to its most essential; particularly evident through the aesthetic, and the production process utilized. The supple enclosed loop of the elastomer strap further details this by accommodating an anthropometric range whist still providing a comfortable fit.Product Design2011 -

These iconic salt and pepper vessels aim to provide a unique character to a typically utilitarian product. The bulbous, charismatic form evokes an emotional response whist the function, material relationships and historical pretense depict a sense of sophistication.
Flask comprises a ceramic container, an anodized stainless steel or aluminum screw fit closure, cork stopper and a standard ‘o’ ring rubber component. The closure is coloured according to the spice contained.Product Design, Drawing, Illustration2011 -
An entire snowboard covered in fine ball point pen sketches (freehand) (full scale - 1.8m length). The graphics depict a nature scene in winter; whist the style leverages the grass roots, and alternative culture of snowboarding.
